Consistently emailing leads that have opted-in can keep your real estate company top of mind, ultimately reducing your chances of losing them. These people are already interested in what you do. Now, the next steps are to nurture and convert them into sales.

The question is, what exactly do you put in your real estate emails? We’re glad you asked because in this post, we’ll cover the five types of real estate emails you should be sending, along with sample copy to write in each.

1. Personal Welcome Emails

Odds are, you don’t have the time to write personal welcome emails for every new lead. Instead, having the right email template will make it seem like you do. When creating the generic message, make sure the message flows naturally and feels authentic. Write in a personal and conversational style that reflects your brand or specific agent. Write as you would normally talk, and your lead should believe you wrote the welcome email just for them. 

Remember, this real estate welcome email is the first real interaction you’ll have with the lead. Nothing feels worse than receiving a welcome email that’s blatantly copy-and-pasted while trying to appear sincere. Don’t make that mistake!

Hi [First Name],

My name is Sarah with Super Real Estate, and I noticed that you filled out one of the forms on our website. Just wanted to drop off a quick email to say hello, and to let you know that I’m here if you have any questions. More than happy to set up a call or email to help you get started.

2. Nudge Emails

Just like the nudge feature on mailing apps, real estate nudge emails are used to check in on leads that have not responded to previous emails or inquiries. Nudge emails consist of one or two emails that are sent a few days apart. Don’t send more than two or could turn off the client and lose the lead. Keep the tone conversational and personal, just like you would talk to them if you called them yourself.

I would really appreciate it if you could get back to me on that last email when you have the time. Don’t hesitate to reach out and hope things aren’t too hectic on your end! 3. “Do You Need Help?” Emails

Like the name suggests, you ask leads if they need any help. Plain and simple. These emails can be templated but may require new writing depending on the scenario. Either you’re asking if a lead needs help with a previous inquiry, or you’re sharing a general I’m here for you correspondence. The former needs to be written out, but the later can be a copy-and-paste. These emails are great because it can remind leads that you’ve got their backs, and opens doors to further engagements.

4. Valuable Follow Ups 

Valuable content is the best type of content. Real estate emails are no exception. Emails that all but exclaim “Hey, look at me!” are fine in moderation, but you can’t just rely on those to close deals. Bring value to your leads by providing updates, statistics, and advice. Perhaps, give your take on great investment opportunities in an area. Or, point out that listings are at an all-time high in certain neighborhoods. Give value back to your leads, and they’ll be far more likely to do business with you.

Hi [First Name],

It’s Sarah with Super Real Estate! I wanted to send a quick message to let you know about the recent trends regarding vacation homes in your region. Buyers are paying 150% over market value for vacation properties as the holiday season rolls closer. Perhaps, now is the time you’ve been waiting for! Let’s get your vacation home ready to sell while demand is high!

5. Feedback Request Emails

These real estate emails are important for you and your leads. You get the increased benefit of knowing whether you and your team have properly done your jobs and what areas, if any, they can improve. Your leads want their opinions to be known, and will therefore appreciate the opportunity to tell you what they think.
